An afternoon potluck will be held at Judge Lim's house on Saturday, October 28, 2006 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. This is a great opportunity to meet other law students from Cal Western and Thomas Jefferson, and practicing attorneys and judges. APALSA will have a Judge/Attorney Panel on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Warren Hall 131.

Tax Law Society

Tax Law Society's first meeting is on Monday, September 18 at noon in Warren Hall 2B. The purpose of Tax Law Society is to educate its members on a career in tax law through guest speakers. We also serve the community by assisting low-income individuals file their taxes. Its a fun time and looks great on your resume. If you are interested in Tax (you don't have to have taken tax yet) please feel free to join.

PALSD Mentor/Mentee and Luncheon

If you are interested in receiving a PALSD Mentor, please fill out a PALSD mentor/mentee form and return the same to Susan Minamizono by September 30, 2006 at suminamizono@yahoo.com. If you have not received the form, please email us at usdapalsa@yahoo.com.

This is a great way to get an attorney/judge mentor, familiarize yourself with different legal industries, and network with PALSD members.

In addition, there is a PALSD luncheon for PALSD mentors/mentees on Thursday, October 26, 2006 from 11:45 am to 1:15 pm at China Camp Restaurant (2137 Pacific Highway, San Diego, CA).
